Welcome to Mead Employees Credit Union.

Mead Employees Credit Union was founded in 1925 by a group of manufacturing employees at the Atlanta Paper Company. Since that time, the Credit Union has grown to over $5 Million in assets and membership over 1500 and gone through several name changes. In addition, we serve employees of MeadWestVaco, Smurfit-Stone Containerboard, International Paper and several small employer groups.

MECU was founded on the credit union philosophy of people helping people. MECU offers a wide variety of financial services to our members:
Savings, Share Draft Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, Christmas Club Accounts, Auto Loans, Personal Loans, Boat and Camper Loans.

We are located on the premises of MeadWestVaco’s Atlanta Manufacturing Plant. We service members throughout the United States.
